The operating maintenance provider for the outside areas is little less clear. It is thought the management company for the ‘access road’ is MJ MAPP along with Berkeley Square (MJ MAPP manage the properties £250m Berkeley Square
Common Investment Fund). Reliable contact details MJ MAPP are allusive for maintaining the outside areas for Norwood Heights.
The Planning officers report for the Norwood Heights planning application, and the relevant planning committee reports for approving the planning application were provided by Croydon Council as follows :
- Plans Sub committee 20 June 1980
- Development Control Committee 25 September 1980
- ‘Planning Application 80/20/170 Redevelopment (Conditions)
When Norwood Heights opened, local artiste Audrey Hammond with poet Brian Dann, named their book (“Crystal Palace – Norwood Heights: A Pictorial Record”) and dedicated a picture to be hung at centre. Sadly, this picture has since been lost.
